Hevina sat at a table, looking through the mountain of books stacked up infront of her. She knew it was unusual for a rider to be book bound, but she had to find out more about her family's past. Bay and Pol...she knew the names, indeed, but that didn't help. Avis...she sighed, just thinking about it. He better have left something about the pair. They were inportant, she knew that, but she wanted to find out how. She knew little about the past of pern, one reason why she was here. Won't you just give up? I mean, you have been at this for at least an hour. Not at the moment, Tulith dear. I really must find out. They have here copies of most of the records of the ones at Landing, and I simply must find out more. Why? Hevina sighed and muttered to herself: 'Because I want to, that's why.'

A young man with far-gazing grey eyes walked into the library. his wavy black hair was pulled to one side today, strung up so that it fell onto one shoulder. he saw the lady seated there, and quickly looked away and walked towards the back of the room. he often liked to draw in the library, since few people went there.
Trast sat at a table, eyes lowered, drawing away on his sketchbook, drawing the greenrider, since there was nothing else he felt like drawing.

She looked up at hearing another, and startled herself by trying to start a conversation. "Hello!" She said, somewhat too brightly for her.

he looked up, startled, as he always was, by the greeting. he would never be used to people. not in a comfertable sense. he was like a flitt left wild- he would wait and see if no harm was meant, but if it was, he would bolt. thus, he was always on edge. he would be like that, most likely, for the rest of his life. how could he not be, having not heard loving words-loving human words-or touch before he came here for over 15 years?
he smiled cautiously, more for his own ease than for hers, and said "hi." he didn't really know what else to say.

She smiled back and muttered. 'I hope I didn't disturb you.' She looked back down at her work again.

"no...I wasn't really doing anything..." he mumbled, sketching her still.

"why are you reading about?" test the waters. be ready to leave. or beg for forgiveness. Trast waited for her words, making sure he was ready for what came.

'What? Oh, family history, mainly about Bay and Pol. I'm related to them directly.' A hint of pride was in her voice as she admited that.

"really?...interesting." He said. his tone was a monotone most of the time, and usually very quiet.

She smiled. 'Well, I suppose one could find something better to read, but I just want to learn. Hmm. Much to your Tulith's dipleasure at being ignored. I do not ignore you at all! Your interested as much as me in this! Tulith's mental laugher rolled through her mind. Her Green flitt just blinked at the other person in the room.

She looked up, her eyes sparkiling with amasment. 'I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. Hevina, rider of Green Tuilith.' She gave another wide grin and leaned back in her chair.

"Trast, rider of brown Hinemoth." he answered carefully.

'Nice to meet you Trast.' She smiled and glanced ou the door. 'There is nothing for me at the feast, though I suppose I must come and wear that gastly dress I have.' It isn't gastly. Just beause you don't like dresses dosn't mean it's gastly.
