((NOTE: I Choose (partly) who will fly Finnath, so don't think you are in complete and total control))
Finnath lunged for the Wherrie, and catching, ripped open the body. Right as she was about to eat Ruvna gasped and pulled back, Finnath roared, but droped her mouthful and sucked the body dry. She reared and lunged again, and at the critical moment, Ruvna pulled her back, and so it when on and on, Ruvna struggling to keep Finnath in control. and Finnath who was fighting hard against the demands of her rider, untill Finnath knew what she had to do. She spread her wings and lanched into the air, letting her rider fall away into the distance. The bronzes and Browns that could fly followed her.
Ruvna gasped as she stagered on her feet, watching Finnath fly. She was filled with the emotion of flying and the sheer joy of the flight. Her heart raced as she followed the flight of her dragon, watching some of the browns fall away.

((Alright, this begins at another Weyr, just so you know... they're saying their goodbyes to family and getting ready to leave when Aech realizes a queen is rising.)) ¤Mine, there is not the time for formalities,¤ insisted Aechreth, pulling A'ryto out of his bow towards the man's brother. The rider gaze him a quizical, slightly berating look, unsure of what the brown meant by this comment. }Explain,{ his terse thought commanded. ¤We must excuse ourselves from this man's company. Now.¤ }What has Delumedri done? Why must we leave?{ ¤It is no fault of his. A silver at our destination rises as we speak, A'ryto.¤ }You plan to _chase_?!{ A'ryto's mental voice was shrill and hard with incredulity. }You've never met the silver! I've never met the rider! It won't work!{ ¤You will deny me this chance? You will deny _yourself_ this chance?¤ }I... I...{ ¤You will not. You will excuse yourself from the child's company, and you will occupy your meddlesome sister.¤ }Ynahi isn't meddlesome!{ he protested, once more leaping to the defense of his sister who, were she able to hear him, would have greatly resented that her elder didn't think her to be competent in helping herself. ¤It does not matter at the moment. Excuse yourself and leave... Now!¤ "I'm very sorry, my brother, and I will see you at some point in the near future if all goes well. My dragon and I are needed elsewhere. Ynahi, you will find the candidate barracks and settle yourself after getting a ride with B'ryn," he instructed. His sister opened her mouth to protest, but the glint in his eyes held her tongue. She nodded tersely and dismissed herself and Edryna. }Where to, Aechreth? Direct me.{ The seinna dragon gave his rider a clear mental map to the rider's weyr that was to be his landmark. With that done, he gave a massive leap into the air, flying to the point at which it was safe to pop |between|.
Moments later, the two blinked in from |between| to circle twice above the courtyard. Dropping in a rather steep dive, Aechreth depositted his rider upon the firm land and was barely landed before he again launched himself into the air, towards the place where he could hear the cries of wherries as they were taken down by the Silver.
When he saw her propell herself into the atmosphere, the dragon reacted. A cry lept from Aechreth's throat, unintentional and completely barbaric. A rush of wind cascaded from his open mouth, vibrating with sound and emotion. The queen, The Queen, The QUEEN was rising! Powerful legs propelled him upwards, sending his mass hurdling through the air. Massive pinions beat in harmony with his heart: beat, beat, beat, beat. With each stroke of his wings, his eyes whirled a brighter shade of indigo, then violet, then a color known to some as urple. The shining purple of his eyes was almost white in its intensity, so strong was his need to follow. Wing beat, heart beat, wing beat, heart beat. The rhythm continued, growing stronger and faster. His hoarse call resounded still, reverberating through the air, pounding with power. His wingbeats grew stronger, his heartbeats grew louder, until all sounds, all thoughts, all existances, all life was drowned out by the pulsing, throbbing... beating.

~Finnath rises!~ Gareth's burst of thought and rapidly swirling storm of emotion colors swept through his rider's mind, and K'roi was caught up in the sudden excitement, joy, and challenge the big Bronze felt. It was his time now, time to claim her as his own.
Having been only a short time before resting in the cool shade under the trees that surrounded the area while Gareth hunted, he was now drawn into the bright southern sunlight, emerald and aquamarine eyes scanning for the scene of happenstance.
The bright Silver launched herself upwards, and Gareth's steel cord muscles bunched before he too gave a leap into the dappled sky, great bronze hued pinions sweeping the air, catching that which he needed for lift and spilling the rest back into an endless sea of blue. The sunlight reflecting from his hide dazzled the eyes, giving him a look of bronze fire. A Bell tone cry ripped from his throat, knelling his sheer existance to the world, and voicing his right to challenge any male to his Finnath. His eyes swirled with dark crimson and a variety of blues, mirroring the colors pulsing through K'roi's mind. Long, corded tail whipping behind him, the bronze rose up, gaining speed and that maneuverability that made the dragons so gifted for fighting thread. In moments, he was on Finnath's trail as she shot upwards at a speed that was only evident when the queens sated their appetite on wherrie blood, which wouldn't weigh them down in the least, while pumping them full of the needed energy. Only the best male would be able to outlast her in this state. It was with the thunder of wings hitting wind that Gareth's sleek mass cut through the air that was all too ready to yeild to his passage.

Swenth launched himself powerfully into the air, speeding about the glinting silver. He spiralled about, keeping his head low, beating his huge wings. The sun shone off his back, but Swenth didnt notice. He kept going, determined to reach the silver. He drew level with the other dragons going for the silver, not even batting an eyelid at them. The race was on!

||OOC|*blink* dunno about this weyr, but in the books, the riders are totally unable to ride the dragons when Flying a queen.... they have to spiral a bit when they catch eachother, so having a rider aboard is physically impossible... just wanted to point that out.|| ||And still waiting to get my chars approved/declined.. any word on that from anyone?||

*Well, Ichigo has to come back, so I am not sure. Until then you cannot role play, sadly. I was fortunate enough to join and Impress the day before she left.*

A small bronze dragon, only a bit bigger than a brown, with a noticably dark hide and a few scars lacing the hide and wings popped in from Between. He quickly ripped out the throat of a herdbeast and drank its blood, knowing after 7 years of chasing that his rider would slow him down if he did not. He, the bronze Kouryouth, would not let anything slow him today! He knew the other bronze had not taken time to eat. there wasn't enough of the scent of blood in the air. that would be his downfall.he blooded a second, and then, satisfied and recharged with the blood of a wherry in his stomache, He pushed off the ground, letting his bugle be heard.
L'kouree dashed out into the feeding grounds a few seconds later, panting heavily and fully fed up with that female-crazy bronze of his. He felt the pure sensation of his bronze chasing flow through his soul. it was a famillar feeling, since the bronze chased anything that rose. L'kouree was decently sure he had a few children scattered across every weyr in pern as a result. In fact, since most of what Kouryouth caught were greens, he was decently sure that the rider had more children than the dragon!
Kouyrouth's eyes whirled violet. he knew his strengths well enough. He was smaller than most bronzes, but a bit faster. He was careful, even when it looked like he wasn't. Like his rider, he always seemed to be doing something foolish and half-prepared, but it was always calculated down to the every last detail. while this was not true for things as unpredictable as flights, Kouryouth knew how long he would last at this rate, and was, as he flew in hot pursuit, calculating how long the other(s) would last. was he the only one besides the queen who had bothered to get something to last through the flight on?
If so, good. it increased his chances. and Kouryouth was the sort who took every advantage he could. He noticed out of the corner of one violet-glowing, multi-faceted eye that his rider had made his way to the grounds. The last time, He hadn't even made it out there. he was getting faster. maybe so was he! the 9-year-old bronze was going to test that theory!

Fannith glanced at all who followed her. She smiled and put on an extra burst of speed. She answered Gareth's call along with the others, and turned flying back under them. Her wingtips brushed Gareth as she flew under them.
Ruvna tottered on her feet, holding back her dragon for going between. She did not want to lose Fannith, not now.

((I have made my pick on who will fly Fannith. If you have not recived a message from me, then I am sory but you were not chosen. Feel free to continue with the RP, and always remeber, Fannith WILL rise again, perhaps next time, if Ruvna doesn't like her weyrmate. I have been taking my time with my pick, and it was VERY hard indeed.))

Angling both wings sharply, Gareth nearly doubled back on himself in an attempt to follow the fleet Finnath. He ended up flying upside down for a moment before righting himself with a sweep of wings and a crack of his whiplike tail. The wind eddied around him, breaking like the tide against a cliff, small shockwaves spreading back from each wingtip. He beat large bronze pinions in an attempt at more speed, using his size and the sheer spread of his wings to grab more air. Gradually, the great bronze began to gain on the golden form speeding ahead.
K'roi was swept up in the moment as Gareth bugled again, his mind at a level with the bronze's that had not been achieved before. Five years, and the bronze had not choosen to attempt a flight. Now he knew why it was such a binding experience.

Swenth tumbled and turned, bugling to the silver. He twisted watching the dragon, never letting her leave his sight. Below, L'nor gasped as he felt what his draogn was doing. He sat down, this is was a new expierience for him. He mentally spurred his dragon on, though his dragon gave him no answers back.

She felt some of the Bronzes follow her, and she trumpited a challange to them. With a deft turn, Fannith shot upwards into a back of clouds, dissapering from sight. Eyes swirled an orange color as she dove again, skiming out from the clouds twoards the sea where she would catch an updraft.
Ruvna gasped, feeling fait, but again the words of her mentors shot through her mind. /Do not fait...do not let your dragon go between...control her and you/ She gasped again, tring not to faint as the emotions of her dragon flooded through her.

Instead of following her completly into the cloud bank, Gareth swept along just under the edge of the clouds, dipping to the side slightly so that a single wingtip skimmed through the wispy opaque moisture. Therefore when she once more appeared in a dive, he had narrowed the distance by saving that little bit of hard earned height. He nosed down into a dive just after her, following close on her tail again.
