K'roi frowned when he heard this, the first time he'd done so since his visitors had entered his chambers. "Meaning no disrespect, that's an entirely shallow thing to do, to his own daughter no less..." He said softly. For some reason hearing this seemed to get to him. "If what you're saying is true, then I'd like to meet your father one of these days...just to let him know that little things like that are not a deciding factor in anything this world has to offer." A sudden smile illuminated his face from the oh so previously gloomy state it had been in. " Does he know you have impressed a gold yet?" He asked in a tone that suggested he was laughing on the inside.

"Know that I have Impressed a gold? I very much doubt he knows that I still live. I have not seen him for ten Turns, since I was but six Turns old and taken to the Harperhall. A Harper brat, if you will." Neou grinned slightly, then sobered. "He was a bad man, but not all his children were. I was very close to my brother Magalt, nearly twice my age in Turns but still very kind. I think he liked having a little sister." Neou gave a cheeky grin, one that suggested perhaps she had not been the best child when she was small. Of course, that was an utter lie. Much of her young life had been spent either as a drudge or as a child in the Harper Hall, getting used to her new life. "As for going to see him, I doubt he would like that. He does not seem to like dragonriders much, though he pays his respects and tithes to his major Hold so that they may tithe to the Weyr. A seaholder, he is, and he expects all his spawn to work all the day long, no matter how old they are. But he would not give as much work to his sons, as to his daughter."

Nodding in understanding, his humor evaporated enough to let the grin slide off of his face, though a small hint of it yet remained in his eyes. " Doesn't like dragonriders eh? We might just have to do something about that in the near future..." He said, a somewhat mischevous look coming to his eyes.

"Do wait for Elenath to learn to fly please. I would like to be there to descend upon my father and scare everything out of him. It seems that that would teach him a bit about messing with dragonriders, or with myself. That would be wonderful." A mischevious glint came into Neou's eyes, a true echo of that mischief that seemed to reside in every Harper, seemed to dominate their characters and personalities. Tual, having contented himself with proving that the Queen would be his, crawled back to Neou and curled up upon her boots. Smiling gently at the whersport, Neou reached down to scratch his somewhat prominant headknobs. They were really much like a firelizard, yet much like a wher. "Did you know that some dragons eat these, and some humans as well? I confess, that is where I know them from, the culinary side of life. But I could not imagine eating Tual, or any of them for that matter." Grimacing, Neou gestured to the bronze, gold, and brown.

K'roi nodded his agreement. "It would be like someone wanting to eat Sakki here, or even Gareth." At mention of her name, the little blue flitt flicked her tongue out, and chirped softly. ~I would like to see someone try and eat me.~ Gareth sent, thoughts rumbling with humor.
Fei stretched wide her wings, then fluttered them closed, and decided that it was just about time for a nap. Vouching for the bed, she flapped her small wings and became airborn with a short chirrup of sound, settling her gold body to the more comfortable cloth covered bed, tucking tail and wings in to sleep.

Fannith sent mental rolls of laughter through all of the riders.

As the silver's laughter filtered through his head, an all together unusual thing to feel, as it was not Gareth's familiar presence, K'roi smiled. He watched Fei's short, slow movements as she went to sleep, Sythe calming even more now that she was away from the group.

Ruvna smiled at Fannith. What did Gareth say? That he would like to see someone try and eat him. Ruvna smiled again as she moved to lean aganst a wall.

As the silver's laughter went through her head, Neou smiled gently. "Yes, I would like to see someone try to eat Gareth or Sakki. I just found it horrible that people would eat whersports when they are so much like firelizards and whers. That is what they are, after all." Shrugging, the goldrider reflected on how she felt comfortable in this bronzerider's prescense, more so then around the others from the Queen's clutch. Perhaps that strange, almost pompous aura they gave off would fade once they realized that they were not the only ones to Impress a bronze... But Neou somehow doubted that she would like them. There was something she could not entirely place. Perhaps it would be better to strenghten a dragon's bloodline by breeding with one of another clutch. But I must not think of that just yet. Elenath is young still, and she will not rise in quite a while. And there are always others. And Weyrmates do not have to love each other... They can have others. Stand-ins. They are frowned upon, but no one can prevent after-Flight lust.

Deciding that this was, much to his delight, developing into a full fledged visit, K'roi raised a hand to his desk chair, and the extra one at the small table located off to the side. "Indeed they are. Please, why don't the both of you take a seat. Personally, my feet are hurting, and if you don't mind, I'm just going to sit here." So saying, he again sat himself on his bed with a light sigh, the little gold whersport currently napping there giving a small chirp of irritation at the movement before falling once more into sleep.

"I can just sit on the floor, if you do not mind. After all, there is one chair and two of us, and she is of more importance." It was evident that Neou had not fully grasped the fact that she was a Queenrider now, as well as Weyrsinger, which put at her at equal, if not greater, importance then Ruvna. Not that that would ever matter to her. Tual was now curled up by her side, providing a sort of bolster that Neou took full advantage of. The bronze whersport could be rather comfortable sometimes, and the floor was not so bad. It was pleasantly cool, in fact, and very nice to sit upon. Some may not lower themselves to that, but Neou had no thoughts of position, or anything but what her feelings were, and those of others. A Harper must have a certain degree of perceptivness to other's thoughts, and the ones of the bronzerider were hard to pick up. Wandering, though pleased. Who would not be in his spot though?

((there were two chairs ^^')) With a grin, the red haired rider nodded his understanding. Approval was plain in his countenance. Neou's choice said more about her character than just about anything else she could have done. No wonder she had been choosen to impress her gold dragonet.

*Whoops. Oh well.* Neou settled herself carefully. "Well, how does it feel having Impressed the little gold whersport? I suppose she must be a handfull within herself, without having to account to your brown and the blue firelizard, as well as your dragon. Of course, that gets off lightly compared to myself." Neou grinned again, a smile in which one side of her mouth lifted higher then the other. It seemed to always do that, giving her a faintly perpetual mischevious look, or one of good humor. Which she did have, most of the time. There would always be circumstances though, in which that smile would fade and be replaced by a deep sadness within her eyes. "I was supposed to be stationed at Hold today, with several other Journeymen. I do wonder how long it will take them to figure out I am missing. Not long, if I am lucky, though knowing myself the Masterharper may be the only one who noticed. He was the closest I had to a father figure."

K'roi chuckled. "Fei certainly does have her own way of thinking. She owns everything I touch, and makes it very clearly known. As for the others, the only one among them who is any real problem would be Gareth." ~I heard that.~ ~I meant for you to you great hulking lug.~ K'roi teased, grinning despite himself. "How long do you have in training?" He asked her then, once more turning his attention outwards. "I'm afraid I'm not all that educated when it comes to how Harpers work." He admited with a self admonishing smile.

"That is fine, most are not. I have been in training since I was six Turns old, though then it was mostly learning the basic Ballads as well as making simple reed pipes. It got more strenous as I went on, and I suppose I was made a Journeywoman rather early, though it is difficult to tell. Sixteen or seventeen is normal, and I am sixteen Turns." Shrugging in one smooth, fluid motion, Neou returned his smile with a hesitant one of her own. *Sorry, short.*
