"Felle, would you mind manning your station alone for a little while? I wish to exort my promise of a dance, and give my fingers and voice a short rest. I will let you dance with someone after my turn, if you want to. Play something merry. Perhaps, if another comes later, I will dance with you, if you so wish." Not waiting for an answer, just guessing that it would be yes, Neou stood slowly, carefully putting her gitar down. By now Shakespeare and Titania had fallen back asleep at her feet, and she placed them carefully upon the chair too. She had seen K'roi, presumably looking for herself among the growing crowd. And why shouldn't it be large? Every new Weyrling, the dragonriders, the new Weyrlings' families.... That would amount to many people. Not that Neou had any family to come, and it seemed the Harper Hall had sent no one she knew to witness the Hatching and report back. Unless Felle was that person... Finding K'roi among the crowds yet again, Neou gently touched his shoulder. "Shall we dance? I do hope you know how, for I am afraid I do not." Her tone was somewhat teasing, as Neou very much liked this bronzerider, regardless if he liked her back. It mattered little to her, for surely this childish infutation would wear off? Well, for now it was still here, and Neou was determined not to flirt, or at least not openly. Subtly was a different manner entirely.

"So, who's dancing first?" S'mer said looking back and forth between Taylun and Rei. He held out his hands and shrugged.
After Felle saw Neou disappear into the crowd he started playing again. It was a rather fast song, but no doubt merry. Biting his lower lip he watched his fingers so as to make sure he didn't stumble as his fingers quickly struck the notes. As he was, a small question ached at the back of his mind. Would he dance when Weyrsinger Neou got back? He didn't really know.

"I'll dance first!" Rei said, spring to her feet. she was a very good dancer. it came from years and years if walking on the balls of her feet. she smiled merrily.

L'kouree smiled as a different harper struck uo the song. it wasn't slow, which to him, often was akward. "shall I lead?"

Ichigo nodded, unable to help herself. She was a bit shy. She hadn't danced in so long, so very long. It was frightening, almost, to her.

"Ok." He gauged the rythm of the song, and started dancing. he did it well, adding the usual flowing energy of his moevments to the energy of the dance.

Ichigo followed along, letting the melodey of the music calm her down. Every move she copied seemed to perfectly match the music, making her feel better about dancing. It was slowly becoming less and less scarey.

"you dance well." his dancing was in tune with the music, but it was a little less strict. it was free.

"You too..." Ichigo said quietly, looking up at L'kouree. He was nice and she felt alot better around him then most others. Alot better. She let a smile freely cross her lips, forgetting about the stressful parts of life. The Weyrlings, unimpressed Canidates, worries of thread, lizards and the other odd creatures that had joined the Weyr. Ikynath was still a nagging thought, but that feeling would make her feel awful if lost.

Turning, and coming eye to eye with the weyrharper, K'roi grinned. "I'm afraid to reply that I'm not entirely too talented at the dancing part of gathering, though I can manage my way through most of the time." He said with a wry tone to his voice. Sketching a flourished bow, the bronzerider had a quirky grin upon his face when he held out his hands to the younger goldrider, listening now for the rhythm with which to move to instead of to the simple beauty of the music trailing through the air. "Shall we, then?"

"Of course. And I am afraid I am much like yourself. Two bad dancers must make a somewhat good dancer though, aye?" Eyes twinkling merrily, Neou took the offered hands, not exactly sure what to do. "The tune is merry enough that I think most would not think it strange if we just winged it, pretending to dance." Laughing, Neou gave Felle an encourging look. He did look somewhat nervous. Well, after this, he could always take a short brake. Neou was perfectly capable of playing on her on. *Short, sorry.*

Laughing, K'roi nodded his agreement. The bronzerider, though, did know from where to start, and immediatly took his position as the lead between the two of them. Stepping around, K'roi drew her with him in a simple, fast paced step that really had no purpose besides weaving dancers about the floor with some look of uniformity.

It seemed as if only one harper was now left to create entertainment for the entire hall. That hardly seemed right, though the one twining through the music now was highly talented, much more so than A'den and his untrained self. Still, it was a joy to be able to be among such festivity and not be required to bring out the platters of meat, then be expected to clean up again. Certainly something he'd never expected, much like his dear Menuath. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a familiar face, and flashing red hair dancing among the others. It was the bronzerider who'd found him, and elected him to be a candidate. Certainly, he owed alot to this man, not only starting his rise towards being a rider, but also giving him a way to get his parents out of the weyr and to a smaller cove where drudges were not needed.

Neou gladly relented, letting K'roi lead the dance. It seemed that he knew what to do at least for this dance, judging by his willingness to take the lead and his leading of her about the dance floor. Soon Neou recognized that this was no dance, but to the casual onlooker it might appear to be. "Cleaver of you. I am assuming that you are making up the steps to this dance as we go along? Each to their own forte, as they say. Mine would be the music of the Gather, not the dancing." Smiling in her strange way, one corner higher then the other, Neou continued to enjoy this dance for as long as she could, before the bronzerider would surely dance with his Weyrmate for the rest of the night. So it was, so it would be. But Neou did not care. One dance was all she asked, and if he asked her for another, then all would be well and fine. But he probably would not. *Lunch and fencing, will be on later.*
