{Sorry Rhys! ^_^;; Gotta get started!}
Ichigo stood nervously in the Weyrling training grounds, counting the jars of oil neatly placed on a wooden table that had moved to the grounds. There were enough jars for each Weyrling to get two... But she was still so nervous!
She was pretty much watching the Weyrlings for day 1 of training, since their Master was a bit ill. But, their dragons were itchy, so she was only going to teach them oiling that day. ------------------------------------------------ PASSED: Trast-Hinemoth Tarn-Renth Rei-Kertinath Taylun-Anuth Neou-Elenath AT TRAINING: M'raz-Inuth S'mer-Kaith K'tran-Rhiroth Tara-Ikonath J'tan-Memoroth LATE: None MISSED TRAINING: None --------------------------------------------------

Trast kinda shuffled in, unsure and nervous. he didn't really like social situations...and his thoughts were straying to the runt he had left back in the barracks. but he needed to learn to do this. for Hinemoth's sake. after all, if Hinemoth depended on him. responsibility was something he would not shirk from...and, he admitted this: it felt good to have something that relied completely on him. he had a lot of thing like that. Illuser, Dues, Ghash, Hinemoth...while they had different values to him, Hinemoth placing the highest, Illuser, since he might not make it, then Dues and Ghash, since they could hunt and feed themselves. but he never let that show. he gave them all equal amounts of affection, or tried to. he knew what it was like, being forgotten. "hello, ma'am.." he said shyly to the weyrwoman, bowing shyly.
Hinemoeth watched his rider with intrest. the brown didn't understand why Trast-mine was so shy, but he understood this was important. and that his hide itched. the brown kept his mood stable, though. he knew, had akways known, how delicate Trast's emotions were. they changed very quickly, and when things went wrong, Trast blamed himself. Hinemoth kept himself calm. better to relax than to worry his Trast. far better.

Tarn ran up, Renth attempting to follow. every once in a while Tarn would stop and tap his foot, but Renth always caught up before he could tap it twice. he made no attempt to bow, or even show the slightest bit of manners. "...yeah, I'm here." he said, his temper being as it always was.

Rei and Kertinath ran up. it was not Tarn's impatient movements, but a perky and easeful amble. she smiled broadly at the weyrwoman, and did a bizarre little dance that she was trying out as a greeting form. she had given up on vocal greeting; it was silly, anyway. why did people choose to do that to themselves?
Kertinath sent a message to her mother. please tell your mine that my mine is trying out an idea of hers, and that the dance means 'hello'

(Hmmm, should S'mer come to this Weyrling lesson, even though his Kaith didn't hatch for this clutch?)
M'raz dashed across from the Weyrling barracks. Inuth trotted behind him. M'raz stopped in front of Ichigo, grinning. Inuth looked at Ichigo then shyly hid behind his bonded's legs, his rider laughed.
S'mer stood a dragon length from the other Weyrlings, unsure as to whether he should join that lesson. He had never been to a Weyrling lesson. Kaith sat beside him, eager to join the other dragonets. S'mer smiled as he watched Rei do her salutation dance.

K'tran all but skipped into the training grounds,Rhiroth following behind him. K'tran was still in amazement over his Impression,although it had been a couple of days now. Glancing at the blue dragonet,a grin spread across his face. He surely had the best dragon on Pern! Stopping before the Weyrwoman,he bowed respectfully. "G'day to you,Weyrwoman ma'am.",he said cheerily,never having been one to hold back even around figures of authority. Glancing around the area,K'tran looked at all of his peers. He recognized most of them from the Hatching. Except one,S'mer. Not even thinking twice,he went over to his fellow weyrling,eager to introduce himself to someone new. "Hi there,I'm K'tran,are you new to the Weyr? I didn't see you at the Hatching...the only white I remember is the one that girl impressed...",he said,jumping right into conversation without even entertaining the thought that it was rather odd to just walk up to someone and start talking.
Speaking of "that girl",Tara was the next to arrive,Ikonath trailing along beside her. Joining the others,she almost instantly began to form...opinions...about them. That one was annoying,this one was odd,that one was stubborn,etcetera,and that she was better than all of them. [white]You said you weren't going to be like that anymore![/white],Ikonath suddenly interrupted,and Tara sighed. The White was right,she had decided to be less self absorbed. Although she often believed that she was the best of the best,inside she really wanted to change.

S'mer looked a K'tran and smiled. "Yes, I'm new." He said sheepishly. "I'm S'mer, and this is Kaith." His white bumped up against his legs.
S'merbonded are we going to learn with the others?
I don't know...[/i]
"There was another white?"

Taylun scrambled in also, brown hair swayying to and fro as she made her way towards the clustering group. Green Anuth in tow. Mine? What are we doing?
It is time for Weyrling training dear Anuth. She replied, mingling with the group after paying her respects to the Weyrwoman.
J'tan! We will be late! Hurry!
J'tan and Memoroth could now be seen, the brown dragon in the lead. I'm Hurrying Memoroth, I'm hurrying!
Bowing to the Weyrwoman he stood with some other males.

{Ruvna, the gold/silver riders train w/everyone else...}
Ichigo smiled as the Weyrlings piled in, all ready for training. She took another deep breath, feeling very nervous, and then began to explain the training. "Welcome to Weyrling Training. Since your Weyrling MAster, rhys, isn't feeling too great, I'll be training you until she returns from her sickbed." IChigo said loudly, trying to get everyone's attention "Today we'll just be oiling your dragons, since they all seem so itchy and are complaining of itch, I'm sure. I have jars of oil for your. You take a jar and rub the oil onthe hide of their backs. Try not to miss any spot.
"When you're done, you come to me. I'll give you 50 Marks, but this is to be used on dragon supplies, such as more oil and soon bath sand." Ichigo smiled at the Weyrlings, pointing to the jars of oil on the tables "You'll get to keep the jar of oil you use and take another jar. These jars would must likely do two greens or one queen." She explained, pretty much saying Brown, Bronze and Queen riders would need to buy more oil then the others.

S'mer shuffled to the larger group, aware that he was supposed to be there. Kaith dashed behind him, overjoyed. S'mer listened intently to the Weyrwoman, soaking up what she was telling them.
M'raz was also listening. He caught the hint that he would need more oil than people with smaller dragons.

Neou walked in with the rest, feeling nervous. Elenath had her head held high, looking rather proud of herself in a strange way. "Silly creature." Tone fond, Neou looked once to her shoulder. Shakespeare was struggling to balance himself there, the newly Hatched and Impressed Titania scolding him fiercly. Luckily, or unluckily, it seemed that Dask, Kask, and Tual were mostly nocturnal, as they slept for much of the day and were awake at night. Only my first day at the Weyr, Neou thought with some misery, and I have had only a few hours of sleep. Shards, but they are active little creatures! Giving a trill, Shakespeare comforted his Bonded by rubbing his small bronze head against her cheek. I will make sure they let you sleep Neoumine. I will make sure. They cannot keep you awake all night. It is not good to be so tired. Did anyone else have the same troubles? }I doubt it, but I thank you Elenath love. You are the most clever dragon here.{

Trast picked up an oil jar and began oiling the back of his brown, much as he would one of his flitts. just...using more oil. he rubbed everywhere Hinometh said itched, and then some places, just to be safe. He liked the smell of the oil used on dragons, he decided after a moment. the scent was similar to the scent of the oil used on runner harnesses, something he was more than used to. it was almost....soothing.
Hinometh wasn't worried about the scent. all that he was aware of was the soothing feeling of the cool oil on his itchy back...the itching was going away! how nice! OK, Trastmine. itching's gone.
"oh? really?ok then..." he had used a good bit of the oil. not all of it, but quite a large amount. the jar was almost empty. he and the now gleamingly wet Hinemoth walked over to Ichigo. "we're done...." he muttered, trying to overcome his shyness with athority.

*50 marks? That is a bit much. 1 mark is equivalant to 20 dollars. For one mark, you can buy 192 bubbly pies, a sheep, and all this other stuff.*

Rei oiled her silver, finding herself unacustomed to the work but enjoying the slippery feeling of the oil on her hands, and that incredibly strong scent. she didn't like it for any reason save for that it was intense. she finished after a while, and walked over to Ichigo. "oiling completed ma'am!" she made a little salute motion that was just far too silly to keep a straight face with.
