Fennth's flight faltered again, with Rhys whispering encouragement to her dragon. The yips of the felines, which had sounded so easily silenced before, now took on a deadlier tone. If the green couldn't fly far enough away, they would be overrun by the pack. Gareth says to land in an open spot, Rhysmine. The green dragon's voice was barely a whisper, but it still held some incredulity. Imagine... him, telling us how to fly... //Keep flying, Fennth,// Rhys said, urging her dragon onwards. Just head was a small outcropping of rock, with nearly vertical sides. There was no way a feline could climb it. //Can you get me there?// Of course, Fennth said, her wingbeats increasing as they slowly moved up. The calls of the felines grew a bit fainter. Fennth's silver claws latched into the stone, and the dragon half-collapsed, only letting her frantic rider dismount before curling up. My wing hurts, Rhysmine. "I know," Rhys said comfortingly. "Help is coming."
((Gah. I know, it's disgusting, but drama is so fun!))

K'roi breathed a silent sigh of relief as the green made it to the relativly safe outcropping of rock. The felines would be there in minutes. There was not enough room for both dragons to perch, especially when one was wounded. So, Gareth stayed on the wing, swirling red gaze aimed downwards to the felines which were even now exiting from the surrounding forestry to lift their great furred heads and scent the air, dragon blood catching their interest mightily. Giving the bronze's neck a sharp tap, Gareth obediently reached around to recieve the big piece of firestone K'roi handed to him. ~Fennth...how much firestone do you have left?~ Gareth asked, chewing his own stone and storing it in his gullet.
((drama is indeed fun ^^ I have to go for now, but I should be back on some time tomorrow. See you, for now))

((All right. Ta! How about you change the subject of the first one and put 'Reserved' so no one comes and joins?))

Fennth raised her head and looked at Rhys, silvery eyes swirling. Gareth wants to know how much firestone we have left, Rhysmine. Her injured wing twitched, and the rider, seated next to her dragon, flinched. //Enough, Fennth. Tell Gareth that if he can come low enough without getting caught by a feline, I can throw my bag to him.// He won't believe you. You look too small, Rhysmine. Rhys bristled. //I can do it,// she said. Funny, this conversation was almost the opposite of the one she and Fennth had had before they'd gone ahead to attack the felines. What would happen, next? I know, the green dragon said soothingly. But they do not. She turned her attention to the bronze dragon still flying overhead. Bring your rider down here, Gareth. My Rhys will throw the firestone up to you.

~Fennth's rider wants us to come lower so she can toss her remaining firestone to us.~ Gareth informed his rider, spiraling in a wing tip a moderate distance above them. "Tell them we're coming in now then." K'roi said, eyeing the ground. ~Tell your rider to be ready, Fennth. We're coming in for it now.~ The bronze relayed, even while adjusting for the descent. Spilling air, they dropped slow enough for the two below to get ready. The felines circled the rock below both dragons, knowing exactly where their prey now lie. Both groups were together again, and on the prowl.

The growls of the felines were perfectly audible to Rhys's ears, making her movements jerky - totally unlike the smooth way she moved under normally situations. They are coming now, Rhysmine. The greenrider looked up, seeing the large bronze dropping slowly, at a rate that had to be planned and controlled. If he missed, then Rhys would have to lunge after the firestone, put herself at risk from the claws of a leaping feline. He wouldn't miss - Rhys had impeccable aim. She never missed. //Tell them to be ready,// she warned Fennth, squinting against the sun. In her small hands rested the large bag of firestone, ready to be lobbed into the air for the bronzerider to catch. //Now!// The wave of kinetic energy started from her toes, until she was standing on tiptoe as the bag left her fingertips. It was beyond her, now. The bronzerider had to catch it. A silent prayer left her lips as the bag momentarily eclipsed the sun. Oh, please... Let him catch it.

As the bag arced upwards, K'roi gave Gareth the signal, and he pulled one of those stunts which made some of the older riders call him a brash and unthinking youth. The bronze pulled his turnstile wings sharply to the side, and both rider and dragon turned a barrel roll, riding upside down for a few seconds. Just long enough for K'roi to catch atleast somewhat of a hold of the bag, his grip on the bronze almost slipping in the process. A few beats of those wings had both turned topside again, the red haired rider safely holding the bag of firestone and his respective seat.

Rhys's breath hissed in between her teeth as the bronze dragon abruptly turned upside-down, allowing the bronzerider to more easily catch the bag of firestone. No wonder he had been sent to take care of the felines! Besides the bronze's strength and size, he could perform complex aerial manuvers - not as well as Rhys and Fennth, of course. //He caught it!// Rhys cried joyfully, and she turned back to her dragon. Unforunately, the sight of wounded Fennth only brought the worries crashing back down, and the small woman hurried to the green's side, making soothing, comforting noises as she gently stroked Fennth's eyeridges.

Securing the bag with the others, K'roi then began feeding the firestone to Gareth at a hurried pace. The bronze chewed then stored as much of the remaining firestone in his gullet as he could, eyes yet whirling red. "Tell them that I'm going down." He said then, and felt a bulking in Gareth's will to do what his rider said. "Gareth, do it!" He said, clamping down on his suddenly heated anger. It was not directed at the bronze, and the great dragon knew it. ~I will not leave you down there.~ The bronze sent firmly, yet K'roi was just as firm. "You will. I'm going to lure the felines in, and then it will be your job to roast them all in one go. Its the only way we'll be able to get them all with the firestone we have left." He said forcefully. "I'll be fine. Clear me a space just next to the rockface, and drop me." He ordered. It was with an obvious dislike of the situation that the bronze obeyed, stooping to sweep lower to the ground. Feeding him a last chunk of firestone, Gareth then used a short burst of flame to clear the felines from the base of the rock, and the red haired rider vaulted from the bronze's back to the ground.
