chickens, geese, a few domestic ducks, pigs(or close enough to them) are all for food purposes and very rare...

Yes, the only place that chickens and duck creatures survive any longer is in Southern Boll, or according to what I have read. And I think pigs may be extinct by now, judging by the fact they get no farther mention in the series and just pictures in the Dragon Lovers Guide to Pern.

I do, Hannah told me some things about Pern, I've done a couple of Hatching Rps, and our English class read a passage out of a DRoP book. -shrugs- I just thought i'd give it a try. No harm in trying is there?

I started DRoP roeplaying before I ever read the books,personally I found that it almost made the books more interesting,because you have backround knowledge and things might be more clear.
