I am afraid that I shall shun and reject any felines that are any color out of the ordinary. IE: Pink, subtle undertones of that etc.

I had a cat, and they do not have a slab of fat there. If anywhere, it is just above their neck, the scruff.

I think it might depend on the breed of cat...what sort of cat do you have, Taylun?
my half-breed longhair does have such a flap of skin, but my shorthair doesn't....now excuse me while I try and reclaim my pinky finger from my shortrhair....

You want to give me an explanation of how the diamond skelaton evolved without genetic tinkering and the fact that Pern would not evolve a creature that way?

(I'm siding with Taylun-chan. It's a good idea, and things can change DRASTICALLY over time. Take the horse for example. They started out as a two foot tall animal with a toes. Now they are huge with hooves, and people ride them. It's just one example of the huge changes evolution can make. Look at humans! Ape to man, that a big change aswell! Evoltution could make anything become anything! (Besides inanimate objects.))

Do I really care? But go on ahead explain away... ;-] Just remember: I could always change how they evoled and what they look like. I'm always open to reasonable things, but, rember DRoP is a fantasy genre. DRoP is NOT a fantasy genre. It is it's own genre, and does not deserve such abuse such as creatures that could not possibly exist.

It's not abusing it! It's a good suggestion! And Although DRoP Is not a fantasy genere, it is Sci-fi. (I checked the section in my local bookstore.) And sine Sci-Fi and Fantasy are so close, It doesn't make a difference.

Suggestions that are rejected remain rejected, and DRoP does not need any more "improvements". People should appreciate the vast diversity of creatures already given.
